Poppy – June 21st, 2010 – 33” Tall

Poppy is the matriarch of the herd that allows Pansy to be in command but will intervene if Pansy gets out of line or is unfair to others. She is the eldest and definitely a fair weather donkey. Poppy loves hanging in the barn on bad weather days and likes her breakfast brought to her inside unless the sun is shining and it’s a warm day. If the suns out you’ll find her out soaking up the rays. Poppy loves being groomed almost as much as her son Huck. Poppy is bonded with Ivy, her bestie.

Grey Dun

Pansy is our herd leader. She keeps the herd in line, she is corrective yet fair. She makes the most unique gargoyle sounds ever yet loves to cuddle the most of all. Pansy is the oldest of her two sisters Lily and Tulip. Pansy is Yarrows mother.

Ivy – May 15th, 2014 - 35” Tall

Ivy is our tallest donkey with very pretty, dainty features. She likes to play more than the other donkeys but her best friend is Poppy who would rather just chill. Ivy will run around and play with the 3 sisters (Tulip, Lily & Pansy) for short periods of time but most often be found hanging out with Poppy. She will tolerate the boys but prefers them in their own paddock.

Wildass Acres Windspirit Lily aka Lily – November 25th, 2015 – 31” Tall

Light Brown Dun

Lily is best know for, “I’d rather not but ok”. Lily doesn’t loved to be groomed or cuddled. She will be respectful and partake but would rather do other things, except if you find her favourite scratch spot. Lily is the middle sister and likes to hang back, avoid conflict and observe. Lily is Thorns mother.

Wildass Acres Windspirit Tulip aka Tulip – December 10th, 2015 – 30” Tall

Spotted, Light Brown Dun

Tulip loves snacks and lil humans the most. She enjoys being groomed and cuddled. Tulip prefers to be outside the most or hanging in the doorway when the weather is bad. Tulip is the youngest sister and fearless. Tulip enjoys being an auntie/babysitter to Huck, Thorn and Yarrow.

Bay

Thorn is our chocolate brown yearling. He is Lilys son and the oldest of the boys. He often likes to challenge the others as often as he can but loves people of all ages. His bestie is Huck, they are never far from each other and love to wrestle.

Spotted Grey Dun

Huck is the middle brother, Poppy is his mama. He is bonded to Thorn and loves being groomed and snuggled. He’s pretty laid back now but was quite the lil ankle biter when he was a weanling. He is starting to stand up more to his big brother but often patiently puts up with him.

Yarrow was our first baby donk we foaled out. He is Pansy’s son and often known as our Walmart greeter. He says hello to everyone upon entering the paddock and is learning to share the human attention with others. He is a tank and has already outgrown his big brothers. He plays well with everyone and the boys let him join in their fun but we are hoping to have a friend born for him this Spring.
